Ying Miaofang (C) receives the holiday subsidy for the Senior's Day, or the Double Ninth Festival, which falls on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month or Oct. 7 this year, in Yingdianjie Township of Zhuji City, east China's Zhejiang Province, Oct. 6, 2019. Ying Miaofang, 80, is widely known for her warm-heartedness. An illustration is the assistance Ying provided for college students to help them finish undergraduate study, with about 60,000 yuan (about 8,394.31 U.S. dollars) she donated for three consecutive years. In addition, Ying has devoted herself to honing peony painting techniques on moon-shaped fans since 2013 and plans to donate 2,000 fans she will finish next year for public welfare.
